Leadership Council 2026
This year we are starting a new initiative called the Hillel Milwaukee Leadership Council, to provide more opportunities for Hillel undergraduate students to get involved as student leaders. Hillel’s core mission is to inspire every Jewish college student to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel. And with this vision, comes great responsibility. We encourage students to take on leadership roles through other campus organizations and at Hillel through Leadership Council positions and internships. The Leadership Council will consist of the 5 Student Board members who will serve a full year term, and multiple positions with single semester terms as part of a Team: Israel, Programming, Social Media, Shabbat, and Engagement.
The Leadership Council is comprised of different Teams that are listed in detail below. It is important to remember that by applying to a Team, you are also applying to be part of the greater Leadership Council. As a Leadership Council Member, you will be expected to uphold a handful of shared responsibilities in addition to your Team responsibilities.
By applying to the Spring 2026 Hillel Milwaukee Leadership Council, you are applying to join a cohort of dedicated students that are excited about creating the future of Hillel Milwaukee.

Hi! My name is Rebecca Brumer and I'm the Co-President of the Student Board. I am a Sophomore majoring in Marketing and have a minor in Communications and I'm from Vernon Hills, Illinois! I'm excited to work alongside my co-president, Jack Redfern, our student board, and Hillel staff. I look forward to creating meaningful experiences and opportunities for Jewish students from 11 Milwaukee campuses to connect and foster a safe environment. I'm eager to start this new journey to gain new experiences and strengthen my skills as a leader!
Shalom! My name is Jack Redfern and I am so excited to be serving as your Co-President of the Student Board. A little bit about me is that I am currently a third-year student at Marquette University double majoring in Secondary Education & Mathematics. Before coming to college, I was an active member at home in my local USY (United Synagogue Youth) region serving as our Membership/Kadima Vice President for the past two years. I am so excited for this year.
