Anna Goldstein Koenig - Assistant Director
Anna Goldstein Koenig joined the Hillel Milwaukee team in 2020 as the Director of Jewish Student Life and is now the Assistant Director. A Hillel Milwaukee alum herself, Anna graduated from Marquette University in 2017 with a BA in Social Welfare and Justice and Minors in Political Science and Spanish. Anna grew up being involved at her synagogue in Buffalo Grove, IL and spending her summers at OSRUI. Anna reinvigorated Jewish life at Marquette, establishing student leadership through the Jewish Student Union and Hillel, as well as advocating for a Center for Jewish Life and Kosher food on campus. Anna loves to play guitar and sing, and frequently led Shabbat services. During her time at Marquette, Anna served as an Engagement Intern for Hillel Milwaukee, volunteered at Ovation Jewish Home, worked in a classroom at Gan Ami, and interned at the Nathan & Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center. Anna comes to Hillel with over 3 years of Jewish education and engagement experience as the Outreach and Teen Philanthropy Coordinator at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
Anna’s experiences at Hillel Milwaukee truly shaped the person and professional she is today, and she looks forward to empowering students and young adults to explore their Jewish identities and strengthen their connections to the Milwaukee Jewish community. Anna loves calling Milwaukee her home and exploring all of the amazing things the city has to offer. When she’s not at Hillel, Anna enjoys checking out local restaurants, attending concerts with friends, solving crosswords and puzzles, hiking, and cooking with her husband Joey. Anna cannot wait to meet all of the students and young adults that Hillel Milwaukee serves – feel free to reach out and say hello!
