Why Hillel Milwaukee?
Hillel Milwaukee has a long tradition as the ‘home away from home’ for college students and young adults. And while our students' and young adults’ lives have changed dramatically since the onset of the pandemic, Hillel Milwaukee continues to be that ‘home away from home.’ It is the center for Jewish life on campus and in the young adult community, providing many opportunities for engagement and leadership. We work with all faith communities and allies to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment, not only for our Jewish students and young adults, but for all those who are interested in learning more about the Jewish faith, history, and culture.
Why attend Cream City Community Shabbat?
Because it’s THE fun, community Shabbat event of the season! Not only will this Shabbat be full of joy, music, and love, but this Shabbat will showcase everything that Hillel Milwaukee does best -- fostering and cultivating our students and young adults' Jewish identities, amplifying the voices of our dedicated future Milwaukee Jewish leaders, and coming together as a Kehillah Kedosha (holy community) to bring in Shabbat together.
Plus, we’re raising critical funds for programming and leadership initiatives to better serve the college students from all of the Milwaukee area colleges and universities including UWM, Marquette, MSOE, MATC, MIAD, Cardinal Stritch, Carroll, Alverno, etc, and our young adults. A vibrant Hillel with strong, young leadership ensures that our collective Jewish future remains strong, not just here in Milwaukee but around the world.
Why be a sponsor?
After two years of this pandemic, our students and young adults are craving their Jewish community more than ever! Hillel is an extended family for so many young people, as they search for connectedness in these uncertain times. Hillel’s mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students and young adults so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to tie your business, organization, or self to Hillel Milwaukee and show your support to our students, young adults, families, and the entire Jewish community!
