Hillel Milwaukee has a long, rich history of serving the Jewish college students and young adults in Milwaukee as a ‘home away from home,’ by offering a place where they can explore and navigate their Jewish journey on their terms.
For some, that includes joining us for a free Shabbat service and dinner every Friday night. For others, Hillel Milwaukee’s beautiful building on the east side of town offers an inviting study space during the cold winter months, while enjoying hot chocolate and catching up with friends.
In addition to offering a wide array of programming and leadership opportunities for our Jewish students and young adults, we also offer programs such as our Side-by-Side Fellowship and Trip to Israel, Interfaith Shabbat, Refugee programming, and more to help educate our campus and greater communities against bigotry and hate, and to guide the conversation in support of diversity and understanding.
Each year, Hillel Milwaukee holds an annual fundraising event to raise critical funds to support our deep and diverse programming initiatives. From free High Holiday and Shabbat meals, weekly lunch and learns about today’s hot topics, or student scholarships for immersive travel experience, the dollars raised from our event ensure that we can meet our obligation to offer a first-class program for our students and young adults in our community. This year we will be hosting our 4th Annual Cream City Community on Friday, April 1st at 6:00 pm via Zoom.
We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation to our auction this year. This event is the perfect opportunity to support the college students and young adults in our community while also bringing attention to the important work you do.
On behalf of our students and young adults, thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
