Soaring Spirit: An Exhibit of 33 Ketubahs by Chicago artist, Judith Joseph -- January - December 2017
The 33 Ketubahs (Jewish marriage contracts) were found on both levels of the building thanks to the generosity of KETUBAH.COM.
About The Artist:
Judith Joseph's art expresses spiritual flight. She uses the natural world as a metaphor for moral and personal struggle and growth. Judith is a painter, woodblock printer, and calligrapher, but the Ketubah is her specialty. She was part of a revival of this ancient folk art form in the early 1970's Since then, she has created hundreds of unique original hand-lettered painted works and designs for print editions.
In her personal work and Ketubah art, Judith expresses the joy and wonder of life. See more at www.judithjosephstudio.com or www.judithjosephart.com.
Our donor recognition wall was commissioned by Judith Joseph.
